Is it permissible for non-Muslims to use mosque restrooms to relieve themselves?

If entering the restrooms does not necessitate passing through the mosque itself, nor its courtyard surrounded by a building, then there is no impediment to disbelievers entering them to relieve themselves. However, if entering the restrooms requires entering the mosque or its enclosed courtyard, then there is a difference of opinion among scholars on this matter. The preponderant view is that they are not permitted to enter the mosque except for a benefit, and there is no benefit in these individuals entering. But if the courtyard is not enclosed, then there is no impediment to them entering through it to the restrooms.

The harim (sacred precinct) of the mosque does not hold the same ruling as the mosque itself, and the mosque courtyard is not considered part of it according to the soundest opinion.
