How do you deal with gold gifts you received from someone with whom you are no longer in contact and to whom you cannot return them, so as not to affect your sincerity to Allah and your good intentions?

If a gift is free from corrupt purposes and malicious intentions, there is no objection to it, even if it is between a man and a non-mahram woman. Giving gifts is commendable, as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Exchange gifts, and you will love one another." An exception to this is a gift given for the purpose of disobeying Allah, such as a man giving a gift to a woman to win her heart or entice her into committing a forbidden act. If the gifts are free from corrupt purposes, there is no objection to possessing them. However, if the intention behind them is improper, it is better to dispose of them by giving them in charity.
