If the anger is so severe as to cause loss of awareness of what is being said at the time of divorce, then the divorce is not binding. However, if the one pronouncing the divorce is aware of what he is saying, then his divorce is effective, and its occurrence is not prevented by the wife being nursing or menstruating, according to the majority of scholars.
