Was man created by his own will or against it, and if it was against his will, how can he be held accountable for something he did not desire? And what is the meaning of Allah's saying that He offered the trust to man and he accepted it, and who is this man?

The human being mentioned in the Almighty's saying: "Indeed, We offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to bear it and feared it; and man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant" refers to Adam, peace be upon him. The Trust is obedience and submission to Allah, which entails reward and punishment. Man's acceptance of this Trust signifies his acceptance of trial and tribulation by prioritizing Allah's command over his own desires. Allah did not create man after consulting him, nor does He hold him accountable for the origin of his creation; rather, He holds him accountable for his actions, which are based on his choice and awareness.
