What can one do who can no longer bear himself and wishes to commit zina after ten years of patiently enduring celibacy and the failure of all his attempts, despite his prayers, fasting, and supplications that remain unanswered?

It is a cause for the Lord's wrath, a darkening of the face, and a blackening of the heart. Your belief that Allah sees you should compel you to abstain from committing indecency, for Allah Almighty has commanded you to guard your chastity and has forbidden you from adultery. Whatever hardship and difficulty you have endured, you will be rewarded for it if you persevere patiently and seek Allah's reward, for the believer is patient in adversity and grateful in prosperity. Prayer has three outcomes: either the request is hastened, or harm is averted, or it is delayed as a reward in the Hereafter.
