What is the ruling on selling research papers, compiled from the internet, to students who need them to submit to teachers who are not proficient in using the internet or do not have access to it?

Purchasing research papers and submitting them to obtain a certificate, degree, or pass an exam is considered cheating, betrayal, and is forbidden (haram). This is because the purpose of research is to train the student and test their abilities. Those who write these papers are sinful and corrupt, and the money obtained from selling them is ill-gotten (suht) and forbidden, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every body that is nourished by ill-gotten gains (suht), the Fire is more befitting for it." Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen held the view that hiring someone to prepare research papers or dissertations to obtain academic degrees is a form of betrayal, and the work must be the student's own creation, with permissible assistance from others provided it does not compromise its originality.
