Should a female student continue to supplicate for a specific young man's guidance and that he be her righteous husband, despite her fear of falling into the forbidden, and her apprehension that this supplication may not be good for her or for him?
There is no harm in supplicating for the young man for goodness, righteousness, and ease in marrying him if he becomes righteous. This is a kindness towards him and may be a cause for his guidance. If he becomes righteous and this becomes evident, there is no objection to offering yourself to him. When he desires marriage, seek guidance from Allah through Istikhara. However, if marriage to him is not facilitated, then turn your heart away from him and ask Allah for another righteous husband. We also draw attention to the danger of intermingling and the obligation to observe the Sharia-compliant regulations concerning it.
