What should a fiancé do who wants to get married after a year, while his fiancée wishes to complete her university studies first to help her mother, and he fears falling into haram during the long waiting period?

The questioner is advised to try to persuade the girl to marry early for the sake of chastity, in compliance with the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "O young men, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so, for it helps him lower his gaze and guard his chastity. And whoever cannot, then he should fast, for it will be a shield for him." If she insists on refusing in order to complete her studies and the questioner cannot wait, then he is advised to seek someone else who is religious and of good character, for Allah may place good in what a person dislikes, and the greatest trial for men are women.
