Will a woman be punished through her children for sins she has repented of, or is repentance sufficient to erase that, based on the Hadith "As you judge, so will you be judged"?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah, by His grace, accepts the repentance of those who repent, and the questioner's remorse and weeping are signs of the sincerity of her repentance. It is advised to be moderate in remorse and not to exaggerate, for repentance erases sins, and one who repents is like one who has no sin. There is no need to fear the transference of sin to children, for "no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." One should focus on renewing repentance and turning to Allah, increasing good deeds, and having a good opinion of Allah.
