What is the secret of the light that was found between the eyes of David, peace be upon him, when Allah brought forth the progeny of Adam, peace be upon him, from his loins?

What is being referred to was mentioned in the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) narration about the story of Adam's creation, in which Adam (peace be upon him) saw a man from his offspring who impressed him with his radiance between his eyes. He asked about him and was informed that he was David (peace be upon him). The secret of this light is an honor from Allah to David (peace be upon him), and this does not necessarily imply his superiority over other prophets, because one who is less virtuous may have a distinct advantage over one who is more virtuous.
