These flyers are among the stratagems of the enemies of Islam to turn Muslims away from their true religion. A Muslim must be wary of them and not be deceived by them. It is not permissible to write or distribute them; rather, that is a reprehensible act and an innovation (bid'ah). These flyers are among the means of polytheism (shirk), exaggeration concerning the dead, and lying about Allah. The duty of anyone who receives such flyers is to tear and destroy them and to warn people against them, because whoever fabricates and distributes them is sinful, and this falls under cooperation in sin and aggression.
