What is the difference between marriage in Islam and the marriage of disbelievers? Does the groom wear white? Do the spouses exchange rings? Is dancing permissible?

For marriage in Islam, there are conditions, among them: the woman's guardian (wali), witnesses, announcement of the marriage (nikah), and that the woman must not be forbidden to the groom. It is permissible for the groom to wear any permissible clothing. Exchanging rings (doubleh) is forbidden, and the prohibition is more severe if the man's ring is made of gold. Daf (hand drums) are recommended for women, without any other musical instruments. The mixing of men and women is forbidden, as is the husband sitting with his wife in front of women. Dancing is permissible for women if they are alone, as long as it does not lead to arousal of desires.
