The answer

Islam has honored the wife, making her a source of psychological tranquility, and commanded that she be treated kindly. It is the wife's right upon her husband to treat her when she falls ill, and this includes both physical and psychological treatment. If the husband falls short and refuses to treat her despite her need for it, it is permissible for her to go out for treatment with one of her mahrams out of necessity.

The wife must fear Allah and not harm her husband, as this is part of good companionship. The wife is also advised to engage in dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and du'a (supplication) when angry, to seek refuge in Allah from Satan, and to remain silent or change her posture (sitting or reclining).
