Is there a specific amount for compensation (mutʿah)? And is the divorced woman entitled to claim compensation for the damage resulting from her leaving her job due to the husband's condition?

If a couple separates, the mother has a greater right to the custody of the children until they reach the age of discernment and choice. At that point, they are given the choice between their parents. The father is responsible for their maintenance until the children are able to earn their own living. The compensation (mut'ah) for the divorced woman is estimated according to the financial situation of the divorcing husband, whether he is well-off or in straitened circumstances. If the wife did not stipulate her work at the time of the marriage contract, she is not entitled to work outside the home except with her husband's consent. If he prevents her from working, she has no right to demand compensation from him.
