Is the Farewell Friday an innovation, and are there any authentic Hadiths reported concerning it?

The term "Jumu'at al-Wada'" (Farewell Friday) is not known in Islamic Law. All accompanying prayers or special celebrations associated with it are innovations (bid'ah) and are rejected. The innovations related to this term have varied, and among them is a prayer that some claim expiates the sin of those who missed obligatory prayers. This is an innovated prayer (salat bid'ah) that has no basis. Some Muslims in India consider it an important religious occasion for gathering, even though this Friday has no specific virtue. Another example is what is called "Salat al-Fa'idah" (Prayer of Benefit), which is an innovated prayer with no basis. Furthermore, some people's celebration of what they call "al-Jumu'ah al-Yatimah" (The Orphan Friday) has no basis in Islamic Law, and the last Friday of Ramadan has no special distinction from its other days.
