What is the explanation of the Hadith: "Allah has not permitted anything as He has permitted a Prophet with a beautiful voice to chant the Quran aloud"?
The : (Allah does not listen to anything as He listens to a Prophet with a beautiful voice chanting the Qur’an aloud), narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
The meaning of "أَذِنَ" (adhina): to listen. That is: Allah does not listen to anything as He listens to a Prophet with a beautiful voice chanting the Qur’an aloud.
Scholars, such as Abu Ubaid al-Qasim ibn Salam, Al-Baghawi, and Ibn Kathir, have clarified that this listening is a great and unique listening to the recitation of the Prophets, due to the combination of a beautiful voice and complete reverence in their recitation. This listening is more profound than His listening to the recitation of all His other believing servants.
