It is forbidden to walk on a grave unless one is certain that the grave has decayed and turned into dust. If you suspect that a path passes over graves, you should avoid using it, in accordance with the hadith: "Consult your heart. Righteousness is that which eases the soul and calms the heart. Sin is that which troubles the soul and causes uneasiness in the chest, even if people give you a fatwa [religious ruling] permitting it."
