Is it permissible to recite Surat Al-Baqarah, Al-Anbiya, Ya-Sin, Al-Qamar, Ar-Rahman, Al-Waqi'ah, Al-Mulk, and Al-Mursalat daily along with a specific supplication?

Reciting the Quran is a great act of worship, for a good deed is rewarded tenfold for each letter. Similarly, supplication (du'a) is a great act of worship that Allah has commanded and promised to answer. However, some فقهاء (jurists) consider the commitment to reciting specific surahs daily along with a particular supplication, without evidence, to be an "additive innovation" (bid'ah idafiyyah). This is because an additive innovation involves committing to a specific act of worship at specific times for which there is no evidence in Islamic law.
