Is it permissible to supplicate with, "O Allah, take me from my might to Your might, from my weakness to Your strength, and from the narrowness of my choice to the expanse of Your will"?

The phrase "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah" (There is no might or power except with Allah) signifies the servant's surrender and entrusting of all their affairs to Allah the Almighty. It is an acknowledgment that there is no creator or doer besides Him, and that the servant possesses nothing of their own affairs except by Allah's will and aid.

It is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise, meaning that its reward is stored in Paradise and is precious. It implies that the servant has strength, resourcefulness, and ability, which are created within them by Allah, and it emphasizes that the servant cannot transform from one state to another, nor can they have the power to do so except with Allah. For Allah is the one who enables the servant to obey or disobey, and holds them accountable for it.

The servant hopes for no one but their Lord and fears nothing but their sins. Therefore, they should not abandon their weakness as a servant by asking Allah to remove them from His power, or by seeking Allah's absolute richness. Rather, they should ask Him for assistance and rely on Him in all their matters.
