What is the food of the people of Hellfire?

The food of the people of Hellfire is dari' (a thorny plant) and zaqqum (a tree), and their drink is hameem (boiling water) and sadeed (pus).

Dari' is mentioned in Surat al-Ghashiyah, zaqqum in Surat ad-Dukhan, hameem in Surat Muhammad, and sadeed in Surat Ibrahim.

It is narrated in a hadith by At-Tirmidhi from Abu Darda' that the people of Hellfire will be given dari' as sustenance, which neither nourishes nor satisfies hunger. Then they will be given hameem to drink, which will scald their faces and tear apart their intestines.
