What should a young man do about his lack of focus and contemplation when reading the Qur'an and performing his prayers?

To reflect on it, sense the greatness of Allah, choose suitable times for recitation, gather your thoughts and seek refuge with Allah, avoid sins, be scrupulous about lawful food, and associate with pious scholars.
