Was the Prophet a martyr due to his death by poison? Is it permissible to seek intercession through him? What is the meaning of a martyr being alive? And how is a greeting returned after death?

Martyrs and prophets are alive with their Lord, a barzakhi life that cannot be measured by worldly life, and its true nature is known only to Allah. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was honored by Allah with prophethood and martyrdom, and he passed away due to the poison he consumed in Khaybar. The life of prophets in their graves is not solely due to martyrdom; rather, prophets in general are alive in their graves and they pray. The Prophet's returning of greetings to those who greet him does not indicate that he is alive in the same way as worldly life, but rather it is a special barzakhi life. The hearing of the dead in their graves is not exclusive to prophets or martyrs, and it is not of the same kind as the hearing familiar in this world. This barzakhi life does not necessitate the permissibility of supplicating to prophets, seeking their aid, or seeking intercession through them.
