Does the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, feel us after his death, or is he distinguished from the rest of mankind?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Yes, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is distinguished from all other human beings. He is alive in his grave, and the prayers of those who send blessings upon him are presented to him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us to send many blessings upon him, especially on Friday, as the prayers of his Ummah (community) are presented to him. Allah has forbidden the earth from consuming the bodies of the prophets. The verifying scholars have concluded that the prophets are alive after their death and are pleased by the obedience of their Ummah. However, their life in the grave differs from their life on earth. Therefore, it is not permissible to ask them for anything or to seek their aid, and the noble Companions or those who followed them never did so.
