Is the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, or any other created being, omnipresent? And is it permissible to ask for help from other than Allah, such as the deceased, like the Awliya (saints) and Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, when in need?

First, the Quranic evidence and the statement of Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, confirm that Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is a human being who will die like all other human beings, and no one before him was granted immortality. Therefore, whoever claims that the Prophet is present everywhere is required to provide proof, and such a claim concerning Allah is disbelief and misguidance.

Second, supplication (du'a) and asking are acts of worship that may not be directed to anyone other than Allah, as stated in His glorious saying: "And your Lord says, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you,'" and the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Supplication is worship." It is permissible to ask a living creature for matters that are within their capability, but it is not permissible for matters beyond their capability or to ask the deceased.
