What is the ruling on exaggeration in loving the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, going to his grave to seek intercession through him, abandoning prayer in mosques on the pretext that their imams are Wahhabis, and claiming that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, knows the unseen and is present everywhere?

The belief that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, knows the unseen is an act of disbelief and a repudiation of the Quran. The assumption that he is everywhere is false, for he is buried in his grave. Going to his grave for reasons other than the recommended visit has two scenarios: supplicating through him is an innovation (bid'ah), for the Companions used to supplicate through the Prophet's prayers during his lifetime, and after his death, they supplicated through Al-Abbas's prayers. Asking the Messenger or invoking him instead of Allah is major shirk (polytheism), for seeking help in matters beyond ordinary means is only permissible through Allah. Abandoning prayer behind those who claim to be Wahhabis is incorrect, as praying behind a fasiq (sinner) or a mubtadi' (innovator) who does not commit disbelief is permissible. And Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab is a renewer (mujaddid) and from the righteous predecessors (salaf saleheen).
