How old was Khalid ibn al-Walid when he embraced Islam or when he died?

Khalid ibn al-Walid, may Allah be pleased with him, embraced Islam after the Treaty of Hudaybiyah in the seventh year of the Hijra. He passed away in the year 21 AH at the age of sixty. Thus, he was approximately forty-six years old when he accepted Islam. He was a brave hero, and no army under his command was ever defeated, neither in the days of Jahiliyyah nor in Islam.
