What is the ruling on purifying and using ritually impure water with modern machinery today in the Maliki school of thought?

Impure water, if treated and purified by adding water or substances that remove the impurity, becomes pure (tahur) according to the Malikis. It is permissible to drink it and purify oneself with it, provided its taste, color, and odor remain unchanged. If its impurity is removed on its own without adding anything, there are two opinions among the Malikis: one holding it remains impure, and the other holding it becomes pure. The Council of Senior Scholars in Saudi Arabia has issued a fatwa declaring water pure after its purification from impurity, provided its characteristics remain unchanged.
