Is it permissible to adopt the view of the Malikis concerning the permissibility of washing pure clothes with impure ones in the washing machine, without ensuring the removal of the impurity or the change of the water, in order to دفع الحرج والوسوسة (repel hardship and obsessive doubts), knowing that the family does not respond to the request of washing the impure items separately?

The majority of jurists do not prohibit the use of water mixed with soap to remove impurities; rather, they stipulate the presence of water. It is permissible to use soap, even that made from impure oil, to purify the body and clothing. Al-Bahuti mentioned that using other substances, such as salt, to remove impurities is permissible, and it is not a condition. Modern washing machines adequately purify clothes, as water is used after soap, and sometimes before soap. If the impurity itself is removed by soap, the impurity does not transfer, even if the place is not considered completely pure. As for water separated from an impure place, its ruling is the same as the place from which it separated; if the place is impure, the water is impure, and if it is pure, the water is pure. There is no harm in using washing machines.
