Is water and clothing rendered impure if pure clothing is mixed with underwear that is likely to be impure in a bucket of water? And does abundant water become impure according to the Malikis if an impurity falls into it and changes one of its characteristics?

A Muslim must maintain outward and inward purity, and be careful not to neglect purification from urine, due to the resulting lack of cleanliness, invalidation of prayer, and otherworldly punishment, as stated in the prophetic tradition about the punishment of the grave due to not shielding oneself from urine. The purity of clothes is not affected by placing them with clothes whose impurity is doubted, for the basic principle is purity, and one does not deviate from it except with certainty. As for a small amount of water, it becomes impure upon the falling of impurity into it according to some Malikis and the majority of scholars, even if its characteristics do not change. However, what is well-known in the Maliki madhhab is that it does not become impure unless its color, taste, or smell changes. The meaning of this saying is sound, even if its chain of narration is weak.
