What is the ruling on a person engaging in dialogue with scholars regarding the doctrinal whispers that circulate in his mind, out of fear of following them, and is this considered apostasy?

A servant's dislike, fear, and aversion to satanic whispers are signs of correct belief and strong faith, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "That is pure faith," and as al-Nawawi said: "Your considering it a grave matter to speak of it is pure faith." As for asking people of knowledge about whispers, there is no harm in it to the extent that the questioner benefits, because excessive questioning increases the intensity of the whispers for the one afflicted by them. The basic principle is to completely ignore whispers.
