Is it permissible to allocate a portion of the donations and charities collected for the Sharia school to what is necessary for the mosque?

If the donors have specified their donations for the school, then these donations must be spent on what they intended, and it is not permissible to spend them on anything else, because the intention of the endower is legally binding. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah holds the view that it is permissible to change the condition of the endower to what serves a greater interest. Accordingly, it is permissible to spend some of the donations on the mosque if that serves a greater interest, or if the donors did not specify a particular use for them.
