Is it permissible for young men and women who are members of an Islamic charitable association to meet together at the association's headquarters to prepare and develop projects, and is this considered khalwa (private seclusion), especially since the number of females is greater than males, and there are a small number of individuals who are not part of the youth category?

The tribulation of women is one of the greatest tribulations, and the most dangerous and harmful. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against it, saying: "I have not left behind me any trial more harmful to men than women," and "Beware of the world and beware of women, for the first trial of the Children of Israel was concerning women."

The mixing of men and women is a major cause of tribulation and corruption. Therefore, it is advised to separate the sexes in entrances, exits, and facilities, and that communication between them should be through spouses or brothers. If there is a need for communication other than that, it should be over the phone, limited to the necessity and without softening the speech, because warding off harm takes precedence over gaining benefits.
