Is it permissible for young men and women to meet for charitable work, such as direct interaction between them within the scope of organizing this work?

The Sharia (definition) has encouraged charitable acts such as visiting orphans and the sick, and feeding the poor, and has attached immense rewards to them. Allah Almighty says: "And they feed, for the love of Him, the needy, the orphan, and the captive" (Al-Insan 76:8). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I and the guardian of the orphan will be in Paradise like this," and he gestured with his index and middle fingers. He also urged feeding the needy and stroking the orphan's head to soften the heart, and clarified that whoever visits a sick person remains in the harvest of Paradise.

There is no objection to a woman undertaking these charitable acts, provided she adheres to hijab (definition) and modesty and avoids intermingling with men. Rather, it is commendable for her. A woman can identify poor families and deliver aid, and cooperate with her female counterparts, while avoiding meeting non-mahram (definition) men, as this is among the steps of Satan that may lead to temptation. And the wise person is he who learns from the experiences of others.
