What is the ruling on a group of sisters forming a circle, holding each other's hands, with each one of them privately supplicating for the sister sitting to her right? And what is the ruling on regularly performing this act?

The Sharia encourages a Muslim to supplicate for his Muslim brother in his absence, as it is stated in the Hadith: "There is no Muslim servant who supplicates for his brother in his absence but the angel says: 'And for you the same.'" A sister's supplication for her sister falls under this category, and it is included in the indication of goodness, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The one who points to good is like the one who does it."

However, one should be careful not to believe in the sunnah of a specific supplication or to engage in worship through it in a particular situation, lest it falls into the forbidden innovation mentioned in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it is rejected." It is preferable to supplicate for all present sisters.
