Did one of the disciples betray the Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him?

The Gospels mention that Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus's twelve disciples (peace be upon him), handed Jesus over to the Jews in exchange for thirty pieces of silver, and that Jesus's likeness was cast upon him, so they crucified him, believing him to be Jesus. Some authors have transmitted this from the People of the Book. However, a narration from Ibn Abbas with a sound chain of transmission states that the likeness was cast upon a young, believing man from among Jesus's companions who volunteered to be killed in his place, so he was killed and crucified instead of Jesus, who was raised to heaven. The conclusion is that what has been narrated about the betrayal of some of Jesus's companions has no textual evidence from divine revelation; rather, it is from the narrations of the People of the Book, which we are permitted to transmit without affirming or denying them.
