What is the ruling on reciting Surat al-'Asr after the Friday sermon has ended?

Surat Al-Asr is one of the greatest surahs of the Quran. Imam Al-Shafi’i said about it: “If Allah had only revealed this surah to His creation, it would have sufficed them.” The two companions, whenever they met, would not part until one recited Surat Al-Asr to the other, and then they would bid farewell. There is no evidence that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to recite it every Friday and at the end of the sermon.
