Is applying false eyelashes forbidden?

Attaching eyelashes is permissible out of necessity, such as their damage due to illness or burns that led to their deterioration and altered the shape of the eye, and this should be done only to the extent required. However, if it is for adornment, it is not permissible because it constitutes an alteration of Allah's creation, and because it falls under the warning mentioned in the curse upon the wasilah (one who attaches hair) and the mustawsilah (one who has hair attached). The wasilah is she who attaches her hair to the hair of another.
