Are the hadiths regarding the permissibility of looking at one's fiancée restricted to a specific number of times, or does the permissibility of looking at her extend throughout the engagement period, based on the general implication of the hadith: "Look at her, for it is more likely to create affection between you two"?

It is well known that looking at women is forbidden, but it is permissible to look at one's fiancée as an exception due to necessity. This looking may be repeated as much as is needed for the suitor to discern her appearance so that he does not regret it after marriage. This looking is not limited to three times. When the suitor's objective is achieved and he knows the woman's character, the need that made looking permissible ceases. When something forbidden is made permissible, it is permissible only to the extent of the necessity. For this reason, Islam permitted looking at a woman's face during testimony, during buying and selling, and similarly, a doctor looking at a female patient when necessary. All of this is restricted by necessity.
