Is a lawyer considered sinful if he cooperates with his colleagues in exchanging cases for financial gain, and pays bribes to employees to issue reports or investigations contrary to reality that enable him to win his cases, given the nature of his work in court?

It is not permissible for a lawyer to lie, offer a bribe, or defend an oppressor whom he knows to be guilty. There is no objection to a lawyer representing his colleagues in some cases or to them ceding cases to him. However, it is not permissible for one lawyer to abandon his case for another to win, unless the truth is on the latter's side. The lawyer's work must adhere to the Sharia guidelines.
