What is the ruling on raising one's hands while the Imam is supplicating for the Muslims in the second sermon?

It is not legislated to raise the hands during the Friday or Eid sermons, neither for the Imam nor for the congregants. What is legislated is to listen attentively and say "Amin" silently, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not do that. An exception to this is supplicating for rain (Istisqa'), in which case it is legislated to raise the hands, following the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
