Should a young man travel to seek a livelihood and establish himself, or should he remain with his father to keep him company, even though the father does not need care?

If travel is safe and there are no risks of perishing on the way or at work or place of residence, and there is no fear of the father getting lost, then there is no objection to traveling without the father's permission, even if he objects, though it is better to seek his رضا (رضا means pleasure, contentment, approval). It is permissible to travel for seeking knowledge or for trade even if the parents dislike it, as long as it is not a perilous journey.
