What is meant by "the companion of the Qur'an" in the saying: "It will be said to the companion of the Qur'an: 'Recite, ascend, and recite distinctly, for your station is at the last verse you recite'"; is it the one who memorizes the Qur'an or the one who adheres to it?

It is said to the Companion of the Quran: "Recite and ascend, and recite distinctly as you used to recite distinctly in the world, for your station is at the last verse you recite." The Companion of the Quran refers to one who is constantly engaged in its recitation and acts upon it, not merely one who recites without acting. Thus, a believer's ascent in ranks depends on the extent of their distinct recitation of the verses, and this is based on memorizing and acting upon the Quran. It is understood from the hadith that the greatest reward is attained by one who memorizes the Quran, perfects its recitation, and acts upon it. The number of verses in the Quran corresponds to the levels of Paradise. Whoever recites the entire Quran reaches the highest levels of Paradise, and whoever recites a portion of it, their ascent is commensurate with that. Acting upon the Quran is fundamental; for whoever acts upon it is as if they are constantly reciting it, and whoever does not act upon it is as if they have not recited it. Therefore, the highest ranks are for the memorizer who recites proficiently and acts upon the Quran.
