Can a sorcerer who uses jinn steal property out of revenge, and can these stolen items be recovered, and what should be done to ward off his evil?

It is permissible for Allah to subjugate jinn to some of His creation, who then use them for thefts and fulfilling needs. The jinn's enjoyment of humans comes from their worship, and humans' enjoyment of jinn comes from the fulfillment of their needs and being informed of some unseen matters. However, it is not permissible to go to soothsayers and sorcerers and believe them. To protect oneself from magic: adhere to the fear of Allah Almighty, recite the morning and evening remembrances, and make abundant supplication.
