If Allah forbids something, He also forbids its price. This includes the sale of alcohol, dead animals (carrion), swine, and idols. Whoever sells something forbidden must offer sincere repentance and dispose of the unlawful money by giving it in charity to the poor or spending it on public Muslim interests. If unlawful money is mixed with lawful money, and it can be distinguished, then the unlawful portion must be precisely identified and disposed of. If it cannot be distinguished, then the amount of the unlawful money must be extracted from the mixed funds.
