Is it obligatory for someone who has missed more than 200 days of fasting to offer expiation for each day they make up, and what is the amount of this expiation, and should it be offered before fasting or with each day, and what is the ruling on offering it in a country where there are no poor people?

This woman must feed one poor person for each day she delayed making up until the next Ramadan began, according to the majority of scholars. If she delayed making up two hundred days over several Ramadans without a valid excuse, she must give out two hundred mudd of food (approximately 150 kilograms of rice). It is permissible to give this amount to a single poor person. If there is no one in her country to whom the expiation can be given, she should appoint someone to give it out on her behalf in another country. It is permissible to give out this expiation before, during, or after the fasting, though it is better to hasten in giving it out. This applies if she was aware of the impermissibility of delaying the make-up fasting. However, if she was ignorant, then no expiation is required of her.
