Do I become an acquiescent disbeliever if I provoke my family members who curse God when angry, in defense of my sister, and if I provoke my sister’s husband who curses God and religion when angry after he slandered my honor, knowing that my provocation of them might lead them to curse God? And would I have disbelieved by this action? And is wishing disbelief upon a disliked person considered acquiescence to disbelief?
What you did was a mistake, not an act of disbelief (kufr) or an acceptance of disbelief. Your thinking so is a whisper (waswas), and its cure is to ignore it and strive against it. Know that you are upon Islam, and you must avoid doing anything that leads to cursing God or His religion.
