What is the interpretation of Allah Almighty’s saying in Surat Yusuf: "Indeed, whoever is righteous and patient, then indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good," and is the mentioned reward worldly or otherworldly, and is asking about a worldly reward considered a lack of etiquette with Allah?

The reward of the righteous encompasses both this world and the Hereafter, as indicated by the words of Al-Shawkani and Al-Sa'di. This is further evidenced by Allah's bestowal of safety upon Yusuf, His reuniting him with his brother, and His granting him dominion in the land, while the reward awaiting him in the Hereafter is even greater. There is no harm for a servant to ask Allah for recompense in both, for the Prophet's most frequent supplication, peace be upon him, was: "O Allah, our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire."
