Is the disbelief of the Jahmiyyah and Muʿtazilah different from the disbelief of the polytheists, and will the perpetrator of a disbelieving innovation abide eternally in Hellfire?

Heresetical innovations (bid'ah kufrīyyah) include types of newly introduced (muḥdath) disbelief, such as the claim that the Qur'an is created, and the denial of the vision (of Allah) and His elevation (uluww). The one who holds such beliefs, if not excused by ignorance, faulty interpretation, or duress, and dies upon them without repentance, will abide eternally in Hellfire. This is a major disbelief (kufr akbar) that necessitates eternity (in Hell), unless an excuse prevents the attribution of disbelief to the person. A statement may be disbelief, but the specific person is not judged to be a disbeliever until the proof (ḥujjah) is established against him, the one who abandons it becomes a disbeliever. A Jahmī or a Mu'tazilī is not declared a specific disbeliever (yuṣḥam kuffaruhu) until the conditions for declaring someone a disbeliever are met and its impediments are removed. A disbeliever due to innovation is not like an original disbeliever.
