Is the discharge from the penis ritually impure (najis) or not?

The ruling on the emission from the male organ regarding its impurity has been previously clarified. However, the ruling on whether it nullifies ablution is a matter of disagreement among scholars. Some consider everything that exits from the two private parts as nullifying ablution, whether it is in a state of health or illness. This is the view of Ash-Shafi'i and Ahmad. Others stipulate that the emission must be customary, like urine and prostatic fluid, and that its exit must be in a state of health. Thus, they do not consider ablution necessary for stones or worms, and this is the view of Malik and his companions.
