Did the Prophet (peace be upon him) race with Aisha in front of men, or was that only between them?

The race between the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, took place when they were alone, after he had ordered his companions to go ahead. Aisha said: "I went out with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, on one of his journeys, and I was a young girl, not yet fleshy and not plump. He said to the people: 'Go ahead,' so they went ahead. Then he said to me: 'Come, let me race you.'"
